The only beneficial things about staying in this hotel was it's close vicinity to the convention center, and karaoke Thursdays. The beds are extremely hard and springy. The TV in our room worked, but the speaker would go in and out while you are watching it. Our friend's TV didn't work. The hotel rooms are extremely stuffy and warm. The thermostats in the room are minimal. Its a gold box with 3 options: fan on/off, AC on or off, and a temp lever that had two options of high or low. We've had it on the lowest temp setting with the fan on high, and we wake up sweating every night. When we checked in, they informed us that if you wanted house keeping, you had to call and schedule it. When we opened the fridge in our room, it still had contents from the last guest. Our tub didn't drain while we took showers. The elevators took at least 10-15 minutes to show up to your floor, and if the elevator wasn't already full and you got to get on, it would take another 15 minutes to get down to the lobby because you would be stopping on every floor. We started taking the stairs down since it was quicker. We tried taking the stairs up to avoid the elevators as a whole, but we could never find the entrance for the stairs on the first floor. The exit from the stairs only led to the outside of the hotel and was employee key locked. When we asked staff where to locate the stairs, we were told there isn't access from the inside because they are for emergency use only, so you are pretty confined to 45 minute elevator processes. We came back in to the hotel from our day around 8-9 PM on a Friday night, and the only 6 elevators provided for the central tower floors 1-15 were completely blocked off for maintenance. None of our players who were staying within those floors were able to get to their room for an extended period of time after they got back from an entire day of volleyball. The check-in wait was also an hour and a half due to only 2 hotel workers checking in 50+ people.
