I really hope whoever owns the Nugget in Wendover sees this. I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the Nugget here. I loved the decor, the atmosphere, the calm and warm lighting. It's silly, but I really felt at home at a hotel. I got a room with a unique indoor balcony that looked out onto the lobby. I love the colors, the tile work. My room was perfect for me, nice and traditional with a clean huge sunken tub. And that's just the hotel! Wendover is absolutely beautiful, with views of a vast open desert. It's really like an oasis, there is so much to do yet you're in the middle of nowhere! (That's how I like it, it's quiet!) Anytime I stop in Wendover, I'll stay at the Nugget.

Just went to Wendover for a weekend getaway, we got a budget hotel room for a resort price, the whole town was sold out, so we had to take what we could get, but there is no fridge or coffee maker in the room and the ice maker was broken, so we had to drink warm beverages and we were forced to get our coffee from the restaurant.

Also, the slots were so tight no one in our party won anything at all and all of our favorite machines had been converted from 25 cents to 1, 5 & 10 dollars.

I'm sure management was happy with our losses, but it will be a long time before we ever go back and only after someone else tells us things are better...

All in all, it was one of the worse trips to Wendover & the Nugget that I've ever had and we've been going there for years...

0 stars. Couldn't even stay the night it's so bad. Our first luxury suite the hot water didn't work, front desk sends maintenance instead of switching rooms. Maintenance says he can't fix it we need to switch rooms. Get to the new luxury sweet only to find out it doesn't have television. So back to the front desk, they don't have any suites with working tub and television available so we had to choose one. The poor customer service ended up wearing on my wife to the point of tears. We ended up driving home at midnight. 0 stars, don't waste your time and money like we did.

Literally had so much fun here with my friends! I would highly recommend that you go. I play roulette mostly and the tables were a blast! Our hotel room was inexpensive, the one issue was that the hot water wasn't working so the 4 of us couldn't shower the next morning. I'm not super picky though.

Don't go during Covid.. It's not worth it..
