Booked a six night stay (2 three night deals) for Memorial Day weekend coming in from Hawaii using the promo they sent as a players card member. When we arrived the hotel registration line was lengthy and there was only one person working at 1pm. Once we were helped there was not a smoking room as the reservation requested so the staff told us that we have permission to smoke in the room. Trouble came when my wife and I requested that permission in writing to avoid a $300 charge on the word of staff. The front desk person laughed in my face repeatedly because i wanted it written and she was not able to do so. The Casino manager, Kathy, eventually came out and was willing to sign a printout that at least would give me something other than verbal. As we started to walk away Francisco the Hotel manager decided that even though everything was done, he wanted to "go around the corner and have a talk" and clutched my shoulder. I explained that I have had enough talking and arguing with their staff over such a simple request and that if he really needed to have a "discussion" with me then this was not the place for us. He said "fine you aren't staying here then." It is now about to be Memorial Day weekend and we don't have a room for 6 nights at our once favorite casino. Casino is great, the hotel is BAD! Bad bad bad, even down to the fact they charge me an extra $18.99 a day for having cancer medication and the handicap parking spots are the furthest possible from the hotel. The lot nearest the hotel elevators has ZERO handicap spots. Didn't get to stay, really makes one wonder why they had such an issue for refusing to write down their promises.
