Nice quaint track. It bis kind of nostalgic to me. Not fancy, just a common place to bet on the horses. Enjoyed my visit

One of the nicest tracks I've been to in awhile. The winning circle buffet was worth its $20 price tag. There are lots of young couples here on a date, children running around and plenty of cowboys walking around. A must stop if you're new to Houston or horse racing.

I highly recommend buying winners circle buffet tickets in advance. The atmosphere in completely different from the lower level. Classy up top trashy down low.

Love the atmosphere betting is fun great food friendly staff they do have a buffet I haven't tried yet but heard is good. And u are up close to action you can actually get about 3 feet from horses as they leave the stables to the track and u can get about 10 feet from track to see them up close. Just an amazing fun time.

Oh my goodness. My first horse race and I'm hooked. I flew in to visit my daughter and we went to Sam Houston Race Track. My first time ever betting on a race and won. Now I'm addicted. This place is a great way to spend your day. The food and drinks were very reasonable and the horses were great at what they do. If you have never been here you must visit.
