We had stayed for one night en route to Las Vegas from Twin Falls. It was the perfect oasis for a decent dinner, wonderful waitstaff, fair pricing and convenience. The office/front desk staff were super friendly and professional. Pricing is competitive and the king bed (and bedding/pillows) were the most comfortable of countless hotel stays elsewhere over many years. The casino was simply a fun added benefit!

On the return trip from Vegas to home, there was no way we could drive straight through Ely without staying at the Prospector another night. We just wanted to!!

The hotel exceeded or expectations. Beautifully decorated, the rooms were better than hotel's with a higher rating. The staff was super friendly and made you feel welcomed. We really enjoyed our stay there. We recommend Prospector hotel for anyone traveling through. Would definitely stay there again.

Small hotel showing its age. It's clearly had a makeover but it seems like it's only skin deep. The shower made a hell of a racket. You could not switch from shower to tub. Walls are paper thin. The hotel is aware of this so they give free earplugs. Parking is free. Dog friendly, almost to friendly as there was an issue with unattended dogs barking in rooms at all hours. On-site restaurant was good, but they are charging a fee for credit/debit cards. Next time I'll stay at the brand new holiday Inn next door.

This is a great place. I visited on Friday, May 8. Check in was quick and some of the friendliest staff ever. The room was modern and immaculate. There is a restaurant and a lounge, I took advantage of both. Great food, great service. Give them a try.
