When we lived in MO, this was our favorite casino! We moved away from the area 5 years ago and this was our first visit back since 2015. A lot has changed! The casino slot games have changed quite a bit with newer ones added, they now have craps tables and roulette added to their poker tables. There is also a separate poker room for tournaments.

The great buffet is still as good as it always has been and it has other places to eat too. They now have a self serve drink station, which makes it nice for players.

Then there's the gorgeous hotel rooms. This is probably the cleanest and best taken care of hotel I have ever stayed in at a casino.

If you are wanting a nice room, good food, and fun gaming, stay here...it's still our favorite place! ❤

Just had a meeting there, but the food was fantastic! Had steak that was so tender, it practically melted in your mouth, broccoli and sweet potatoes that were to die for, and a chocolate torte that was so yummy as well! The casino was very clean. Plenty of people there, but not too loud, as many casinos are. Will definitely go back on our own time. The hotel was booked, so we couldn't stay there, but stayed nearby in Joplin. And I will absolutely order the same meal again!

I really like stay there. The room are nice and clean. Plus the room are nice and big. The casino are nice and clean. The employee was really nice and friendly. The server are always welcome and walking around. They are always wiped down after people use them. They have a wonderful family indoor pool and hot tub to use. The food is really good. They have a lot of machine to play. I have been to this place about 4 times and I have never been disappointed. I really enjoy going to this casino. I plan on going back soon.

Downstream is in my opinion has the best odds of winning at any given time. It does seem to me that if you do win big, like hitting a jack pot, then you have to wait a while and "pay your dues" before you are able to win again. I love the variety of games available and they always have the latest games before the other local casinos. They usually have talented up and coming local artists performing live on weekends and the atmosphere is electric. The employees are polite and courteous as well and very helpful when you need anything. Downstream offers rooms at discounted rates during certain promotions and on certain days and even complimentary rooms to some guests. They have the best outdoor pool that is kid friendly but also has adult only swim later in the evening. We love going during fall and winter months and enjoying the indoor pool as well.
