This rating is based on the Western Fair itself and not so much the raceway(I'm pretty sure live racing no longer takes place here). As far as the fair goes though it's not what it used to be. The attendance is way down, the food court has 4 vendors to choose from. The exhibition hall has but only a handful of vendors left as well. In all honesty the only saving grace for this fair is that North American Midway Entertainment has taken up its contract and put up some decent rides for the people to enjoy.

It's been awhile since I've went to the races. The excitement is still there. I bet 2 races but fell just shy of winning. Anybody looking for a family fun get together this is a good place to go. Kids can help their moms and dads pick a horse whether it be by name color or number the excitement and thrill of cheering for your is good for all ages.

High quality buffet. Always fresh and professionally prepared to a high standard. Meat is never dry or too rare, nothing is bland, not an overwhelming variety but the right amount to satisfy everyone for salads, pastas, entrees, and deserts. Deserts are also excellent. The desert table had 1 platter that was finger type food and then a variety of restaurant quality cakes, artisan cheese cakes, fresh tapioca pudding, fruit platter that included Dragon fruit, and many more items worth giving a chance. Servers always above and beyond in effort.
