Fantastic food at an even better price. I couldn't be more pleased. The service is amazing. I love the Western Empire Emporium!

Wait times are pretty long, expect maybe even a half hour for small meals like breakfast items. Even longer for cooked lunch or supper items. Food is pretty good, not much to write home about however and the prices are a little bit high. It's all more of a social environment with the casino and bar options. Staff are really nice and sociable too, the seating and tables are kept sanitized, the air-conditioning is great. The lighting is pretty low and dim, in both the restaurant and casino areas. A fine establishment for elderly folks, regulars, and family dining with younger children, which are welcome into the restaurant area as well.

My husband and I stayed the night at Howard Johnson Hotel driving back from Sturgis & Mt Rushmore. Thought we would have a nice dinner at a Casino!! I had the king crab 🦀 special. It was very tasty, however, the rest of the sides were not very tasty at all!! Veggies were over done and not fresh! My husband's fried chicken dinner was very crispy but hard! Don't think we'll ever go back there!!

Always great food and very good portions. One big draw back is owner doesn't understand masks are guide not law. They cannot use this to ignore the ADA. One server and I will be nice enough not to mention her by name was rude, disrespectful I could keep going, but she is not worth the effort. Until this changes I will recommend to everyone I come in contact with to not support this business.

We were looking forward to the Prime Rib special, but it was available until the next day. I ordered a chicken fried steak dinner and my husband ordered the roast beef dinner. We were both satistisfied with the food and the service. I definitely will be returning.
