To start on a positive note, the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel looks welcoming. The beds were comfortable; good options of television channels and decent WiFi. I tried the traditional Filipino breakfast, which was delightful!! The swimming pool looked nice (swimming isn't allowed presently and only 01 person is allowed in the gym at a time, all due to COVID).
My stay was comfortable but with a few issues:
The rooms are not well maintained (the room was clean but new bathroom fittings are needed) and the floors and doors are creaky .
I enquired about the blackberry cheesecake from Room service, which wasn't available and was offered a cherry cheesecake instead, which I agreed upon; I didn't have any issue with the choice. The cheesecake, when delivered, was rock solid (was offered plastic cutlery due to covid, which is acceptable). I spoke to the staff and they said sorry about it. I waited for 20 mins and yet the cheesecake was quite frozen (there were icicles falling off when I tried cutting through)!!! I ended up requesting for metal cutlery (which was offered initially when I complained over the phone) and even demonstrated the icicles falling off the cheesecake to the gentleman who came to deliver as he was the one who recieved my complaint on the call. So overall, I had dessert but can't call it a cheesecake!!!
