Stayed here for work between 27 and 28 May 2021. We received a good deal via booking.com at $219 a night for a Superior King Room. We arrived and were immediately impressed with the amenities - clearly a 5 star hotel.
Furthermore, on check-in, we were upgraded to a larger room (a suite with views of the City) on a complimentary basis - which was extremely impressive. The room was very spacious, complete with high end furnishings (especially the bathroom) and the bed was very comfortable.
I have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the World and this stood out as being particularly impressive. Would definitely stay again.

The Star is a great place to visit in the day or evening. Plenty of food options available in the food court area near the theatre as well as inside the casino. You can also order drinks at different locations throughout the casino. Cocktails are a bit pricey but are delicious. There's a wide variety of poker machines. If you don't like jostling for a position on the roulette or blackjack tables, you can sit down at your own personal screen and bet with a live croupier. They have the Big Wheel (also known as a Chocolate wheel) which is my favourite. There's an amazing sports bar showcasing live sports. You can join the Star's membership program to receive benefits. Downstairs there's plenty of parking. The Star is close to the light rail and Darling Harbour.

Staff were sensational, extremely helpful. Food and service was great at Phat Noodle. More roulette would be nice as they seem one of the more popular choices. Hint, book some of the more popular venues before heading in. Couple looked great but with COVID numbers are more restrictive. Overall we had a great night.

I recently booked The Darling for my wedding prep location and couldn't be happier. The suite was very roomy and the service was exceptional. They somehow found out I was getting married so they upgraded my suite to a harbour view suite which was gorgeous. House keeping was also perfect. I was very happy with my stay!

Yes - its a casino. However in terms of my experience? Went to the sports bar, aye a nice lobster mean. It tastes very nice and fresh. Table service was good, no complaints there. It was my first time eating at the Sports bar and would definitely go again. Otherwise, gamble responsible. 😊😊
