The staff is friendly. Security here doesn't act like they are protecting Fort Knox like many over zealous one's at other casinos. Drink prices reasonable and good food. Promotions are wonderful. As I tell people, I would rather lose money at Turtle Lake than win at most of the other casinos because they are very nice to people and don't look at everyone like they are up to no good, but on the same token they don't put up with folks looking for credits left on machines who are basically loitering.

Celebrated their Anniversary yesterday! Hoped to win the car, but some other lucky lady did. Congrats to her. Had fun, good to see people out and about again! Broke even so I consider it a win.

A decent local Casino that feels a bit dated. Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, random Poker-type card games, slots, and a Poker Room. The drinks are decent and come fairly regularly. I usually try an get a spot in the Poker room but don't know how they determine its hours. On the weekends there are multiple tables and a waiting list but I have been there weekday nights at times to find it closed (?). The food is OK - with the best option IMO being the Prime Rib sandwich at the concession stand.

Like a few have pointed out, people can and do smoke (heavily) in the Casino. Don't be surprised to wake up the next morning with burning eyes and quite a bit of congestion.

The Hotel itself is OK. There has been a lot of renovation over the past couple of years so those cheap rooms and Suites (yes - they do have Suites) continue to go up in price. The rooms have always been pretty clean and the pool/hot tub/sauna kept up also. For those that can't walk the one block over to the Casino, there is a shuttle to ferry you back and forth.

The staff - dealers, pit bosses, security, waitstaff, those at the Hotel, etc. - have been friendly and helpful all around. I have had no issues with any of them over the years. There was a time where I was walking and had dropped a $100 chip on the floor. While looking for it, a guy at the Blackjack table picked it up saying it was his after a waitress had pointed it out to him. There was a heated discussion about whose it was and they floor Manager had ruled in the other guys favor. I guess that they must have been reviewing the tapes on this for a bit as I got a call in my hotel room maybe a half hour later telling me I could come get my chip back and the other guy got the boot. Kudos to the 'eye in the sky'.

At a first glance from the outside I thought this one was going to be a dud. That being said I was presently surprised. Not a whole lot of options for slots compared to other casinos I've been to but they seemed to be cleaned often. Quite a few dollar machines here which I personally enjoyed. All and all not a bad experience

April 26...Monday. Sad to see concession closed. Got a $10 food coupon plus a free Steak and lobster coupon. 615pm....line a mile long....not moving. Asked cashier if I could order to go. She said I had to go through the line. I probably won't go back.
