The Silverton is our home Casino while we are in Vegas. We have been staying there for many years because their service is outstanding and they treat us like we are high rollers even though we are not. They are always Pleasant from the valet to the cocktail wait staff. The casino hosts are some of the best in Vegas and always make sure our stay is amazing. We have been offered free stays at many other hotels in Las Vegas but we choose the Silverton every time! The Silverton is more of a locals place and less of a tourist stop however they do have Bass Pro Shops attached to the casino and if you've never been to a Bass Pro Shops it's worth an hour or two to wander through the various exhibits in the store. If you're looking to get away from the high-tech Glitz and noise of the strip the Silverton is the perfect place to stay.

We didn't stay here but stopped by on our way home for our daughter to see the mermaid aquarium. She was IN LOVE!!! The aquarium itself was super cool but ESPECIALLY when the mermaid came to swim with all of the fish. Another pleasant surprise... It's connected to Bass Pro Shop!!! We will probably stay here next time around. The casino was clean, my husband can spend as much time as he wants at Bass Pro, and the kids get to enjoy the mermaid aquarium!!!

Booked a six night stay (2 three night deals) for Memorial Day weekend coming in from Hawaii using the promo they sent as a players card member. When we arrived the hotel registration line was lengthy and there was only one person working at 1pm. Once we were helped there was not a smoking room as the reservation requested so the staff told us that we have permission to smoke in the room. Trouble came when my wife and I requested that permission in writing to avoid a $300 charge on the word of staff. The front desk person laughed in my face repeatedly because i wanted it written and she was not able to do so. The Casino manager, Kathy, eventually came out and was willing to sign a printout that at least would give me something other than verbal. As we started to walk away Francisco the Hotel manager decided that even though everything was done, he wanted to "go around the corner and have a talk" and clutched my shoulder. I explained that I have had enough talking and arguing with their staff over such a simple request and that if he really needed to have a "discussion" with me then this was not the place for us. He said "fine you aren't staying here then." It is now about to be Memorial Day weekend and we don't have a room for 6 nights at our once favorite casino. Casino is great, the hotel is BAD! Bad bad bad, even down to the fact they charge me an extra $18.99 a day for having cancer medication and the handicap parking spots are the furthest possible from the hotel. The lot nearest the hotel elevators has ZERO handicap spots. Didn't get to stay, really makes one wonder why they had such an issue for refusing to write down their promises.

Would not recommend. Horrible for kids and poor hospitality. Our rooms weren't ready when we went to check in, so we waited a couple hours. Rooms don't have fridges or microwaves, there isn't even a lobby. You have to walk through a mile of casino just to check in. Horrible having to carry all of your personal belongings through a smoky casino, especially with kids. Looks like a nice hotel from the outside but jokes on you. You drive past that hotel to a shady motel quality hotel behind the actual Silverton. You still have to pay the resort fee of $18.95 per night even though THE RESORT AMENITIES ARE UNAVAILABLE! Want to stay in the actual nice Silverton, great. You can upgrade for a couple hundred dollars more. Rooms are run down and dated. Will not stay here again.

Redemption. Great visit. No worries. Staff was excellent. Made up for a difficult stay last time where I swore I wouldn't return. Good spot to stay. Kid friendly. Family friendly. Enjoyed it. Clean comfortable room and bed
