This review is from a previous stay a couple of months ago:
The rooms are nice and clean. I have had no issues with the accommodation. The front desk associate who facilitated my check in was very nice and friendly. He is from Egypt I believe.
Now on to the reason why my rating sits at 2-Stars:
The machines are tight and their Players Club agents are mostly rude. I have had several encounters with their agents wherein I felt belittled and insulted. On one occasion, the Promotions Department offered me a $75 free play in lieu of the gift card they were giving away. When the free play did not load on my card after about 30 minutes, I went to the Players Club, the agent was rude and was insisting that I was not even supposed to get it because I came in late. He based it on the fact that I checked into the room after the promotion was over. I explained to him that I was in the casino before the promotion ended and I just did not check in right away. He kept insisting that I was not supposed to get the free play and that Promotions would not give $75 free play but $60. He was insinuating that I was making it up. After a few exchanges, he finally yelled at me "Do you want the free play or not!" and just stared at me condescendingly. Taken aback, I asked for the manager. He came out after about 10 minutes and basically told me the same thing.
Feeling exhausted and disappointed at how they are handling the situation, I just finally let go. The manager said someone would get back at me. When they finally called me, they basically just offered the difference of $15 and never apologized at how the Players Club agent and manager treated me. They sent me an email survey but after replying, no one ever called me back. There were many other occasion wherein I felt that they could have handled the situation better. I am not asking for any compensation but just to be treated fairly. I have worked in hotel operations since 2000 and know that the customer service I get from Hard Rock Tampa is was below the standards of a good and quality customer service.
