The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are tons of activities for kids and my daughter loved the people in the daycare center. There are no good baby stores around, but the store in the resort does sell baby food and diapers. However, the diapers are about a dollar each so if you have a car a quick trip to the co-op store next to Kutchan is worth it. They also have a better selection of baby food. The beds are the best that we have slept on in our 5 trips to this area. The breakfast in the October room is good, but very busy. The Chinese style breakfast had no line at all. We will be back as the skiing is amazing!

A very large hotel, man facilities, restaurants. Rooms are avergae size, have balconies, but are showing their age. Fittings (e.g. powerpoints) and bathroom are old and limited.

Food at breakfast buffet is ok, not amazing, but fine. Only ate at one restaurant - was pretty ordinary. Hotel food.

There's a new onsen though, which is very nice.

Lots of shops, but no bars for apres ski, or similar. Lacking in atmosphere. Too large, too old.

The snow is great - it is one of the best much better than South hemisphere or other countries, of course, this is Hokkaido and shops are in general good. However, the safety and facility maintenance is lacking its safety international standards.

Right within a couple of meters from main entrance, an area to take a break between skiing, thers is a staircase with 3 steps. There is no carpet or non slippery surface at the end of the steps. Further the tile floor was glossy, wet and slippery. Therefore I fell down very hard on my back and lied down for a couple of minutes in front of the gift shop there

Later I realised I was not the first who fell down that day. Another guy fell hard in the morning and after stairs it is very prone to fall. Luckily I am not an elderly but it will impact significantly for them.

I had to get an ice pack from my own hotel, Westin and muscle pass. I haven't gone to the Dr yet but at least on the same evening I bought a back protector immediately. Whenever I bend I am in pain or when I clime stairs.

This is my 2nd year here but I haven't seen a cleaner regularly wiping the entrance area from outside. They should improve this to avoid accidents.

Here I attach the photos of area you need to be careful of. Good luck everyone!

Spacious resort with helpful staff for non-Japanese visitors. Lovely new bath house at the north wing block. Short walk to the nearest 7-11 and seicomart. Lovely lady at the ski rental counter gave tips on how to put on the ski boots when she knew it was my first experience, even reminded us to be careful. ??'?

The kids really love this place! Japanese culture interspersed with Japanese kitsch! We have been here at least five times so we must love it! But the merry go round and the dancing dogs are a bit scary!
