Never planned to come to Madeira and only did because they went on the green list. Also knew nothing about this hotel. Well, we have lucked out. Madeira is an unbelivebly good destination, and this hotel is superb. The people here cannot do enough for you (hotel and surrounds).
The attention to detail regarding Covid safety is also exceptional with everyone getting their own pair of tongs for the huge breakfast choices. We still have another 14 days here and really looking forward to it. They gave us a room on 4th floor with a great sea view. Wonder what the upper suite must be like, because our room is already luxurious.
Any minor issues have been dealt with immediately and I have no idea what people are talking about regarding a charade for a kettle and coffee. That's utter bull, we asked for and got one, no charge.
Do yourself a favour, come over and stay here.

Couldn't make use of our 3-Nights reservation due to Covid19 travel restrictions. Zero willingness from the Hotel / reservation department to cancel or postpone our booking. We would have loved to stay here at a later stage once travel restrictions were lifted and as such didn't intend to get our money back, but no good will from the hotel unfortunately to even shift our booking to a later stage. Disappointing for a proclaimed 5 star hotel. Wouldn't recommend.

Booked for 2 weeks to stay at the Casino Park with Jet 2. Very excited as the hotel is highly recommended BUT then we were cancelled and transferred to another hotel BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSING FOR CHRISTMAS. Unbelievable!!! We chose Madeira particularly to go to this specific hotel so it's incredibly frustrating to be sent elsewhere.

All the rooms have balconies, which is amazing. The decoration is modern and the breakfast is superb. The only thing that could be improved was for the rooms to have a kettle for some tea or coffee.

Well located hotel with everything you would expect from a 5 stars rated hotel. Staff was really helpful, breakfast was very good and the view from the room was great. I would recommend staying there if hou plan to visit "downtown" Funchal.
