We recently stayed 3 nights at the Ohiya. The rooms are very nice. The dining was limited, but the Tatanka burger was delicious!
Upon checking out, we had over $500 in tickets to cash out before leaving, but both the ticket kiosk and cashier desk was closed. We asked the hotel employee that was checking us out and she asked the floor manager. He was very unhelpful to both the employee and us in helping resolve the situation! His unprofessional response was to shrug his shoulders and suggested we put them in an envelope and a check would be sent.
The young woman was left to tell us, he didn't even have the courtesy to address us directly.
Being a little frustrated with the situation, we asked the employee to get the General Manager.
A situation that could have resulted in never returning was masterfully and professionally handled by the GM!
She was accommodating, courteous and friendly. She had a cashier come up to the front desk and payout the tickets. The whole time the GM was engaging in conversation asking about our trip and stay. She expedited a result that helped us get on the road back home . She even gave us two mugs as an anniversary gift and a hug on our way out!
She is such a great asset to this business!! Her professional resolution to the situation is the main we'll be staying again this fall!
I would have given a 5 star review if the floor manager wasn't in the picture!!
