My favorite part is the open bar included in our cruise deal. That alone is an excellent deal. My wife, Dad, I drank and drank and drank. Excellent customer service throughout the ship. Shows were wonderful. Only knack was the type of food repeats itself and can get old. We enjoyed it nonetheless and would cruise Norwegian again in the future.

Great food, fantastic entertainment. Our favorite time every time was watching and singing with Derek in the piano bar, He brought in such a large crowd standing room only every night. We wish he had played in the main theater, on the main stage where there would have been more seating. Richard was a Fantastic host and entertainer. (Hello Richard)

my coming up Norwegian cruise is so messed up by their agency I already hate it with passion. The cruise company even told me they can't discuss my situation directly because I booked via online agency. No customer service whatsoever! Every little thing is a problem and unfortunately nothing can be done. Pretty much they locked my money and have me overpay $600. Some hints for future cruisers from my awful experience. Never buy from agency! If something goes wrong with booking cruise company would make a customer happy, greedy agents care about nothing else but to rip you off. Never pay in full, because the cabin price will definitely go down eventually and you will be told sorry no changes possible. And they charge penalties for canceling. So once paid in full meaning STUCK. No way to get refund, no way to cancel. Buy as close to the date as possible - you will get the best price - these ships never get completely full. Price match is another lie that they do. Apparently agency contacts cruise line and they reject the request but the cruise line refuses to talk to the customer due to third party interest. Would never use again and not recommend even to an enemy.

Norwegian sun...old ship, small, nice staff and balcony room small but doable. Shower is ridiculously small, ladies shave your legs before stepping in, as there no room to move. Buffet food is average, same fish and chicken every day just with new name and sauce. Bacon is great as are crepes and omelets. Le bistro restaurant is good, staffers very attentive.

I went on the Norwegian Bliss over this past thanksgiving break and thought the ship was pretty nice, there's a race track, mini golf area and laser tag (didn't get to try it since it was fully booked). The ship was very new and clean. Balcony rooms are definitely nicer than the inside stateroom, you can get fresh air easily. They have a few free restaurant options, the Manhattan room, Savor and Taste. I recommend booking ahead so you don't have to wait. The breakfast includes lox bagel which was great! The buffet is also available with lots of options, but they're kind of similar after a while. Ice cream soft serve stations were great, I definitely had a bit too much, not gonna lie. The shows were decent, I recommend booking them ahead of time too so you can get in early, SIX was great to watch, I went twice and sat in different areas four a different view and enjoyed it both times. Jersey boys want as good. The magic show was fun too (no booking required, just get there early).

Overall this is the third time I'm cruising with NCL, got extra deposits from the first time I sailed with them on the Escape when that first came out. I'll probably take a break from doing cruises for a while. I'd say this was more at a 3.5 stars than a 3. It's a good option to consider if you're looking for a cruise to try out. I wouldn't recommend leaving from New York since that makes the time on the ship a lot longer.
