Having stayed in 9 different hotels all over Costa Rica, this hotel is just about average. Great location, close to downtown and shopping. Outdated but clean. Basic breakfast included. Friendly staff. Only complaint is the noise from the street. Some rooms are quieter than others. So ask for a quiet room.

If you get a room with a view to the street you will hear all the cars honking 24/7. Overall the hotel and casino where great. Good welcoming staff is close to everything in downtown San Jose.
