When I was a junior high school student, I happened to see an Oguri Cap race on TV and became a fan of horse racing.
I don't like horse racing from betting tickets, so I like stories about horse racing, such as Oguri Cap episodes, thoroughbred blood connections, and the feelings of the people involved.
When I went to Ireland for work, I enjoyed the local racetracks, horse-producing areas, and grass horse racing.
I was invited to "Japan C" in Ireland to watch the race while having lunch in the invited seats, and after the race I participated in the winning horse's mouth-to-mouth ceremony in the paddock.
And this time, when I was transferred to Nagoya for work, I was able to go to Kasamatsu Racecourse, although it was not a pilgrimage to the sacred place.
Frankly speaking, my impression is
It's more obsolete than I expected.
There was a spider web on the statue of Oguri Cap of the meritorious horse.
Well, it seems that mere horse racing enthusiasts like me do not come every day now, and it seems that only the local people who are the main customer base go, so this was inevitable.
In local horse racing, I've been to Nagoya Racecourse and Sonoda Racecourse, but it was a little more lively.
Since I usually go to Tokyo, I go to Fuchu, Nakayama, Oi, Kawasaki, and Funabashi, but I can't help but feel the difference with the regions.

I went to GW for the first time in the place where Oguri Cap was very active, but it was a racetrack with a very nice atmosphere.
It depends on the date, but I want to go again someday!

Its not foreigner friendly???" nobody could teach or show us how to play there coz everythings in japanese and basically, u have to rely on yourself to watch and learn how they do it. Good food they have at the back though.
