The thing about casinos is the experience is always more pleasant win you are winning. With that being said, I can say this was a good experience tonight. Better than the one my wife and I had here about a month ago. They are still in the process of renovating this casino from formally being Jack casino. But they are much further along and it looks like they will have an actual Hard Rock Cafe in the casino in the near future. They have both tables and slots with a decent amount and variety of each. A bar is located in the center. A VIP lounge near the back. A restaurant that I find kind of pricey for the standard fair called Luckys. I believe they have a buffet upstairs but we didn't bother going up there. I will say I was happy to find the they had the slot Dragon Spin I used to play at a casino in Columbus.

Went on a Sunday night, there was trash and chicken wing bones sitting between the slot machines, and hardly any staff was available for drink service. The dealers were super nice, which is probably the only nice thing I have to say about this place. $20+ table buy ins and it's under construction with people's food scraps just sitting by machines. Biloxi is at least 10?- better than this location.

Parking lot could have been cleaner and better marked. The smoke-free environment made it a great evening out. Staff was friendly and efficient.

I went yesterday on 4-16-21.for open interviews for a sous chef position .I was 1 of the first 10 people there for different types of jobs. And when I met with sous chef Andrew from the Steak house first he asks me 4 separate times when was the last time I worked for the Hilton and every time I told him that I never worked there he kept saying that he was sorry and he was just waking up. Then when I told him that I work for Jack's casino about 4 years ago he said that he needed to make sure that I could be a rehire. I didn't understand because I never worked for hard rock casino. Then he went and talked to someone and came back and said that he would want me to take a lower rate and position then what I had applied for. I was still confused and felt some kinda way. He told me that I didn't have enough training to get the job that I applied for. I been cooking for over 20 years. I have done everything in a lot of kitchens. The only thing that I would have needed is to learn there order systems because every computer system is different and the training that is available for new hires. And I know that there sous chef's are not doing the ordering of products anymore and haven't done it since they transferred Jack's casino to the Hard Rock Casino. He also told me that they needed to fill 100 hundred positions for the same new restaurant that I was applying for. The whole experience with the Steak House Sous Chef Andrew. Made me wonder..Are they really an .Equal Opportunity Employment.???.And the position that I applied for. The Restaurant doesn't open until June of this year. They are still doing construction. I said all this to say that. He could have given me a chance. I have my management serve safe.and my tip training certification. And I have been a Leader and a Kitchen supervisor. My next step is to become a Sous Chef. And he also told me when he came back from talking to whoever he talked to about the rehire that he could rehire me.which was still very strange to me because I have never worked for a Hard Rock Casino ever. The Jack's casino and the Hard Rock Casino are 2 different companies.
