I had lunch in the Veranda. It took 3 hours. Food was good. Service was terrible. And then we had to walk 1/2 mile to bet on the horses. Needs work.

Too bad I can't rate this a zero. The casino changed all the games to penny slots. Most of them are progressive slots, which pay poorly. Bar closed. Only one woman with a 3?-3foot cart serving drinks/water. Crowded but decent protocols IF you're vaccinated. Race track itself was worth trip but underutilized. Staff VERY nice there. Bar open. No issue with distancing. I will return to track but never the casino, which I used to really enjoy.

Gracious relic from the early 20th century kept in prime condition. Friendly staff, attractive grounds and decent slot payouts make this an enjoyable outing again and again. Just the grounds and raceway are an unique experience for non gamblers. 2.5 hours away or else we'd go frequently.
