Our first visit to Lake Tahoe was great and not just for the spectacular mountain and lake environment. We stayed 4 nights at Harrah's and found the hotel accomodations to be WAY better than other reviewers said. The rooms have great views, are fresh and clean with sparkling white linens and smelled fresh as a daisy (we were in a non-smoking room). The absolute best part of our stay were the meals. We ate at the Sage Room steakhouse across the street at Harvey's on the first night, and at Friday Station at Harrah's on the third night. My wife and I are "foodies" and we can't say which was better - both meals were spectacular. The staff went as welcoming as friends. Ashley (our server at Friday Station) was attentive without being obtrusive. We'll definitely be back - planning for this summer.
