Very friendly staff, nice rooms, good breakfast and great location. Our room had a problem, so in the middle of the night we had to transfer. We got upgraded without any problem and slept perfectly. We will be back for our next visit.

If this would be called Retro Grandhotel Brno, then all good.

As that's not the case, I would not recommend to stay here if you are looking for better quality hotel. Rooms are big, that's true, however everything is really old, worst case even not working. Highly doubt correctness of 4*s, been in better 2* hotels....

Also don't know if it's clever to put only trainee on reception during night, haven't experienced plenty 15 min check-ins in my life....

An old hotel that lost its grandeur a long time ago. AC did not work, beds were worn out.

Good location though.

This hotel has a superb position in a centre of the city. It is due to its long time service to travelers. Building itself is located against tram station, train station and bus station. So there is some noise on one side of the hotel. The other side is quiet. Toss a coin which you get. To be objective, the building has 1 meter thick walls so the noise isn't that bad :).
Rooms are old but well maintained. Each room has 2 TVs. Only problem for me is that the hotel still emits the good old vibe from colonial times. Someone likes it but not me.
Breakfast is very good and well balanced. You sit in old spacious room with view on the traffic. Perfect for people watching:). Again, the same colonial vibe.
I have no problem recommending this hotel for your next visit in Brno mainly for its position and breakfast. Enjoy it!
