Very quiet, surprisingly few guests. Staff was all exceptionally nice and welcoming. Seared walleye in restaurant was fabulous. Drinks fairly priced. Hotel room was nice (overpriced, like all North Shore weekend lodging), but the housekeeping was awful. We found many VERY unpleasant remainders of previous guests, and a (dead) winged guest sharing the sheets. There was no manager on site to hear my concerns, and two days later, no one has responded to my detailed written complaint and bag of creepy "evidence". Eww. We decided to stay just one night after all that. If you do decide to go, spend the extra $20 for the lake view.

First time back this way in about 20 years. The lodge is modern and updated. Our wheelchair accessible room has a great bathroom with both a bench and shower chair everything is so far has been simply great.

We had a great experience at the Hotel and Casino. Beautiful views from the Lakeside rooms. Good food and cocktails, and fun times at the casino. Friendly service and staff were always helpful. In the evening there was a fire on the beach and nice trails for walking.

Just stayed for the night as a launch point for Isle Royale NP. Super cozy room, comfy bed, nice sheets. Quiet and dark. I slept so well! Restaurant is pretty tasty as well, recommend the patty melt and the wild rice soup, both super flavorful. Never gambled before, after I figured the machines out (had to ask for help lol), I rapidly lost $20 and realized it's not for me. But, it was super clean.

Good restaurant with a great view. Casino is 99.9% digital slot machines that barely work. Only reason it gets any starts is the restaurant being a solid good place to eat.
