For gambling, yes, this is the ideal setting. For dining - why we went there - not so much. I remember a time when the Casino restaurant was THE place for a warm, special dining experience.
The atmosphere is cold and drab. The menu is non-existant with only an A4 paper indicating the only meal (yes, that's right), the only meal available on that specific night. The potential for awesomeness is huge, but unfortunately is lacking at it stands.

What a lovely experience. Took my mom and some friends for lunch for her 70th birthday, and the staff went the extra mile by setting up a beautiful table with tablecloth, table decor etc. Lunch was of good standard. Thank you!

Poor customer service. Breakfast we waited an hour ,twenty minutes for. No answer on over 10 times when u call either reception or room service. Housekeeping didn't fill essential needs in room like toilet paper and fresh towels. All round poor from the Golden Valley. Sun International should cull this place.

The bar service really needs improvement, customers waits more than 45 minutes for their food. Three customers made tonight's experience quite unpleasant whilst making a scene due to poor service. We love visiting the bar, but lately one would think twice coming here.

Its beautiful place, closer to the shops and this breathtaking dam with a nice view. One can hike or take a walk. The service wasn't that good, the calls were not picked neither by the receptionist nor the room service. Our room was not cleaned and when we complained to the manager we were told we have to request for that (which we were not told on our arrival). Also, the securities at the casino were not even close to being nice, they kept telling us that kids were not allowed at the casino whereas we know that and we were only going to the restaurant inside the casino.
Irregardless of the above mentioned, we enjoyed our stay.
