It surpassed my expectations... as one of the oldest names in Las Vegas' storied history, I wasn't sure what the condition of this casino / resort would be, and I'm happy to report that it's alive and well. We visited briefly on our way to Vic & Anthony's for a wonderful steak dinner, and we couldn't help but be impressed by the beautiful glassed-in pool area and clean premises on the way. After an amazing dinner, for better or worse, we stepped out the back door to the Fremont Street Experience. The Golden Nugget seems like a very nice facility in a great location to see all that downtown Vegas has to offer.

This Is the classic spot that shows the best of old school Las Vegas fun with every modern comfort. An absolutely wonderful place with some of the best restaurants in the city. The hotel is incredibly well maintained and the accommodations range from the economical to the absolutely over the top elegant. The casino is much larger than you may suspect and is clean and bright - perfect at any hour day or night. The staff is friendly and helpful I am absolutely impressed with everything about the Golden Nugget. It's a true classic and a hidden gem. Host Charles and team - Thank you for providing such a world class Las Vegas experience! I will certainly be back!

The last time we were here, we had eloped and gotten married, and stayed at this hotel. So we decided to stay here again to celebrate our anniversary. Super friendly staff at this hotel. Super easy check in process. Parking was literally right there as well. Fremont street was within walking distance but still far enough from all the craziness. The restaurants inside the hotel are super yummy and fast service. Loved our room as well! Will definitely be coming back!

Probably the best hotel in the downtown area. Reasonable price and has a nice pool with a water slide that goes through a shark tank.

Parking garage is also close and on a back street so easy to get in and out of.

They also have a rental car location on site so you maybe able to get a better rate vs the airport and avoid the fees that come with renting from the airport location.

IMPORTANT- This hotel has rooms available for SMOKING. This can be a huge benefit for those of you who smoke. It can also be a huge negative for those of you who don't and forget to ask for non-smoking as it's something you just assume is standard.

I loved being at the Golden Nugget. The energy there is amazing and there are so many fun activities take part in. The Golden Nugget is home to many affordable restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. The hotel rooms are clean, spacious and very contemporary. Service is 5/5 and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus, it is located on Fremont street which is the place to be as a tourist. I'd rate them 4/5!
