Yes, I feel these machines at Golden Acorn are more *honest*, than other casinos in the San Diego County Area. My friend Benjamin takes me here, every blue moon. The Golden Acorn has been a favorite stop on my often trips from San Diego to Yuma & back. My friends & I love the Prime Rib special in the Restaurant. I also enjoy playing the slots. The Travel Center is handy if I need gas, or supplies.

We came across this truck stop while driving from Arizona to California to pickup another load. We planned to be on the road during Christmas, so we were excited to stop here and enjoy a early Christmas sit down dinner. The truck parking area is huge and clean. We signed up for the Trucker golden card, and received 10% off items plus $10 free play. The food at the Golden Grill was absolutely delicious. The $7.77 prime rib was surprisingly thick and juicy. The philly steak sandwich was huge portions and super tasty. The homemade salsa was fresh and delightfully spicy, and the cherry apple pie and chocolate cake were a perfect way to end our holiday meal! The waitress was amazing and gave great recommendations. We would not hesitate to stop here again :)

Great place between Yuma and San Diego. Travel center is nice and clean. Casino is fun. Grill is great guy working was very friendly. Cheeseburger was one of best anywhere.

Too much cigarette smoke for non-smokers. The restaurant isnt shabby, but could use some upgrades or improved arrangement. The prime rib chewed like it was wrapped in soft plastic tubing with all the flavors on it and cut in slices for convenient serving. It did taste good and melted in my mouth. Not much meat in that rib however...
