I planned a surprise trip for my father for his 76 birthday what a sad trip it was. I was told we could check in at 2:00pm we were not able to check in tell after 5:00PM and the bell hope would not let us check our luggage so we had to carry it around for 3 hours. When we finely got to our room witch was not even at this casino it was a double bed the room size was like a like a closet. Ordered a room with two queen beds. After all that we had to return to the guest desk waited another hour just to get the right room. Vacation should not be this stressful!

Beautiful mountain view from the premium tower room. Tamara at the front desk got us set up quickly at check in with some great dinner suggestions. Every time we visited Siegel's the food was delicious, service was good, and portions were more than adequate. Mostly we stuck to games in the hotel and had a blast.

A great place to stay right off of Fremont Street. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and very affordable. The casino is small compared to the big guys on the strip, but more than adequate for all your gambling needs. Also got a massage while staying here and the spa did a great job. Be forewarned that you can hear the sounds of Fremont late into the night, but we got used to it fairly quickly.

WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR DEAN MARTIN WAS THERE. IT'S A NICE GREAT OLD CASINO A LOT OF STARS BEFORE THEY WERE FAMOUS SING THERE BEFORE ALL THE HUGE ON THE STRIP TOOK OVER ALL THIS WAS BACK IN THE DAY ORIGINAL GANGSTER CASINO THIS IS A AWESOME BEAUTIFUL HOTEL AND CASINO VERY HISTORIC THE PRICES ARE GREAT GREAT RESTAURANT A LOT OF LOOSE SLOTS I KNOW MY ROOMMATE WINS A LOT THERE. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY THE REUBEN SANDWICHES WHICH I'M ABOUT GETTING READY TO EAT ONE RIGHT NOW WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE CLOSE TO THE FREMONT EXPERIENCE DOWNTOWN AREA IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE TOO MUCH AT THE BAR WELL. The "EL Cortez" is a vintage hotel & gambling hall that has potential, but, it seems no one wants to upgrade this place. In my opinion a lot of the decor obviously is from a time period far far away & kinda in need of a deep cleaning with attention to detail. Heat was out in the room, fingerprints on fridge & nightstand. I Needed a cleanreplacement ice container too. That being said, I liked the view from the top of the hotel, conveniently located, extra pillows, as well as a well upgraded bathroom were both a plus. 😌 Please don't get the wrong idea, it's not a dump, and yes I did enjoy my stay.🎰
