Good for a stop-over coming or going to the airport. Shuttle is available and starts early morning. Restaurant on site was convenient and not too overpriced. Pool area looks great, but we didn't have time to use it.
The tile floor in our room was dirty and blackened our feet, so that was nasty.
The staff was nice and unloaded our car and delivered our bags to our room.

Great place to stay in San Jose Costa Rica area.
The hotel, staff, food, ambiance, pool and price were very good.
I really wished that the rooms window could be opened so that we could get fresh air and listen to the rain. Room also missing a fridge and microwave so any food we brought back couldn't be saved or reheated for later. If room had these 3 amenities I would rate 5+.
Lots of restaurants and a fresh market grocery story are within 100 yards of this place. Safe area with lots of security in plain site. Area was extremely clean.
Thanks for 9 gray days. If we ever make it back DoubleTree will be on the list of hotel options.

It was just OK. Quite dated. It was clean. Not the Double Trees we are used to. Cool environment, though. It has potential.
We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was not worth the price. It was just OK. No one finished their plates because it was just so-so.
Fine if you are needing a quick nights stay before catching a flight, but not somewhere I would particularly stay if staying more than one night. It was lacking a bit.

We stay here when needing an over night after arriving or heading back to the states. Staff is guest focused, always kind, and very helpful.
Rooms are clean and comfy. Nice pool and restaurant. Breakfast is great!

The third time coming to the Hilton, Cariari and it is a real gem! The design and decoration of the hotel are beautiful. Light and airy, and very spacious - very welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly, and extremely helpful,(Vivian at the restaurant always with great energy made us feel special by checking upon us. (BIG THANKS TO HER SHE MADE US FEEL LIKE HOME) The Lunch at the restaurant was amazing, a wonderful selection, and again, the young staff was very efficient and helpful in making the lunchtimes fun and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is great The rooms we had were very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors in Costa Rica. Thank you, Hilton Hotel Cariari San Jose for making our stay so special.
