We sailed on Vista for our first cruise and she is the sister ship for the Horizon. I have to say, I liked the layout of the Horizon better. The elevators were fun, you have to type in each passengers, but we learned it pretty quickly. You will love this ship and the crew is amazing. Pretty easy on and off in Miami. We were there Super Bowl Sunday and surprising the traffic wasn't that bad.

Ship is nice. Food is good not great. Honestly I can't find a better value for a family vacation, mostly inclusive and travels the world for us. The people are always great on the ships and truly try to do everything they can to make sure you're having a great time. I wish the people at the ports would approach it differently but they're just trying to make a buck. Also Miami needs to upgrade the port a bit. Would rather go out Tampa (Clearwater wake up;big ships) or the Cape.

While we're on the topic of mess, don't ransack your cabin and let your room steward deal with the aftermath. Dirty clothes go in a closet, a laundry bag or in your suitcase -- not on the floor. Cruise dailies and other papers should be piled neatly or trashed, not spread around every surface. Shoes go in a corner if they can't stay in the closet, not somewhere your steward can trip on them. We're not saying you have to be a neat freak, but a few minutes of picking up each morning will have your hardworking cabin steward breathing a sigh of relief.

First cruise ever, after day 4 of 8 I wanted off but I wasn't used to cruising either, would have liked to see more variety at evening buffet and dining room dinner could be updated and have more variety also, was hard to get in to comedy club the line was forever long and would have to wait 30 min or longer, if you aren't into seeing wild rambunctious kids not being supervised and acting wild at night all over ship then I don't recommend kid friendly, cruises. Overall though I enjoyed the trip and seeing new places would do it again.
