Meat ravioli that would be a draw in North Beach or Little Italy. A delightfully dry, custom house wine from an appellation I've never heard of outside of Redding. And the croutons on the house salad are freshly fried, which has the texture of tater tots. What a delightful affirmation of my choice to go by way of Gerlach on my road trip.

A change in management and staff have brought welcome changes to the menu and appearance of the interior.

Most definitely not a country club, nor is it a casino. It is a bar and restaurant.

The staff are usually over-worked while I'm visiting, during one of the events held on the playa in the late summer. Even so, they take orders and deliver food and beverages with a smile.

It's definitely the best place to have a good meal and a drink for at least a 100 mile radius!
