Clean room, access to filtered water and ice on every floor.
But...
I had an issue with the TV screen, just not wanting to turn on, so I called front desk twice (couple of minutes between calls), no answer.
Got dressed up, went downstairs, the employee was writing down a bunch of breakfast tickets and wouldn't say anything until I said hi. He replied saying hi, I'm busy I'll be right there when I'm done. I said okay, waited a couple of minutes and left.
Asked security to call the manager, he didn't even try, he said that's what the employee is there at the front desk for. I explained he's not paying attention and he wouldn't even asked what's the matter, let alone not answering 2 calls. They explained that's the way and that they went answer the phone until they're done with whoever is physically standing there.
I wonder... had I had an emergency, nobody cared. If a guests calls they should always pick up the phone and greet.
Also, I felt really like a not important piece of the machinery. Weird, since I'm paying...
Last time there. I want to be treated well and I want to feel I can rely on them in case of emergency. Not the TV issue, obviously

I love this hotel! Quality, service, food, location, affordable, all in one, perfect! Any time we go to Costa Rica definitely expend some time at this hotel! For sure!

This hotel is only 15 min from the airport and has everything you need. A small gym, a lovely pool, bountiful breakfast and incredibly helpful and patient staff. The cost is definitely worth the stay and we will certainly be coming back next time we visit Costa Rica! I recommend renting a vehicle from Alamo right at the hotel Irazu if you plan to tour the country by car. Don't rent at the airport, they will charge you more.

Our plane got canceled and delayed multiple times so Delta sent us to a hotel and payed for all of our stays and gave us free lunch and dinner. The first room we went to the toilet was dirty, so we switch to a different room. The second room was the worst! When you looked down in the window there was a bunch of trash bags on the ground, a stain on the curtains, and black stuff on the wall and the mirror next to it. We switched rooms one more time and it was fine so we stayed, but when we went to bed in both beds there were hairs all over the sheets. We took pictures of them as well. The hotel we went to before was way better than this. It looked better, it wasn't messy, and it smelled nicer. Yes, all the rooms we went in were stinky.
