We had one of the rooms with a kitchen this past November. (by the way, other than a fridge and stove, the kitchen has little else in it) There is a backdoor to enter the room from the kitchen. I asked for the key and was told there was not one. 2 days later, I return from visiting a friend to find my wife a crying wreck. Some man that works there had walked all the way through the kitchen, the 2 bedrooms and entered the bathroom where my wife was taking a shower. All unannounced. When I contacted the lady (owner?) at the front desk, she thought it was funny!! She was actually laughing as if I had told her a joke. When I told her my wife was scared out of her wits she told me her man was probably scared too. Seriously!?!?! I asked why the door (with no key!) was used to enter our room and she replied they always do that because it is too much trouble to walk around (it would be a grueling 10 yards more or less). Before this event, we had asked about staying extra days. However, we left immediately to another hotel. The lady called later and asked if we still wanted to extend our stay. I told her no and reminded her of what had happened. Through giggles, she explained she was sorry and reminded me "her man" was probably bothered by it as well. I put the phone on speaker and she gave a light hearted apology to my wife. Was the room clean, yes. Hotel rooms are supposed to be clean. However, this incident and the hotel's clandestine entry policy are unacceptable. I wonder how this lady would feel if she stayed at a hotel and opened the shower to see an unknown man standing there? I would never stay there again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
