I love this port because it's close to the house but also the staff is friendly and helpful. We arrived and it was a continuously walk from the entrance to customer service which was fast and then straight to the ship. I have cruised from here many times, just wished there was more ports from Jacksonville than the Bahamas.

Boarding was a breeze. Long lines, but very quick service. HOWEVER, once we entered our room (M116) the bathroom had a urine smell, the safe wouldn't, lock, the TV shelf & border around room had mass amount of dust on. Thank goodness we were able to purchase Clorox Bleach Wipes. The shower head was not worth cleaning- it DEFINITELY needed to be changed out. I understand that the ship had been recently updated, but I think they skipped our room. We were awaken one morning to our door OPEN!!!! Were8 not sure if someone was in our room or what! No one was in the hall; we made front desk aware of this. Someone came in & took our shoes off if a blue Carnival Cruise mat & placed our shoes in a pile in corner. The gentleman in charge of housekeeping, Mark, was awesome at trying to respond in a swift manner, but many of our incidents never should have occured!

Everything was organized and a smooth process. There was a delay getting through customs after getting off the boat but once at the front the process was easy and smooth. Will definitely use port again.
